Contact Lens Recycling Programme

You can now recycle your used contact lenses, blister packs and foils here at Pybus Opticians.

With growing concern about the environment and particularly the use of plastics in all industries, we’re proud to announce our partnership with ACUVUE® and TerraCycle® to bring you a Contact Lens Recycle Programme.

You can join us and help make a big difference in stopping all these lenses from being flushed or thrown away and going to landfill. You are able to recycle any brand of contact lenses with us.

All you need to do is bring in your used contact lenses, blister packs and foils, pop them in our collection bin and we’ll send them off to be recycled into something new and shiny! The cardboard boxes that the lenses come in are not accepted as part of this scheme, but they can be widely recycled via your home recycling collections.
